Former Wayne State students win prestigious Kresge Fellowships
The College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts is proud to announce that eight former students were awarded the inaugural Kresge Artist Fellowship in the Visual Arts from the Troy, MI based Kresge Foundation. The foundation awarded a total of $450,000 in grants in July 2009 to 18 local visual artists. The $25,000 no-strings fellowships inaugurate one of the country’s most lucrative annual awards available to artists. The grants are designed to give winners financial breathing room to allow them to focus on making art. Congratulations to the awardees!
